Adult Sunday School:  Revelation 2 & 3 - Letters to the Churches

Announcements:

  • Thank you to the men who attended the Men's Prayer Breakfast yesterday at Sid's.

  • There will be worship music practice the first Sunday of every month at the Church starting at 6 pm.  The first will be this evening.  All are welcome to participate.

  • The Church Council has made a decision about our new church sign.  We have been able to contract for a sign using a donation received last year for that purpose.  Thank you for praying with us through this process.

  • On Sunday, September 13th beginning at 5 pm, we will have a fun time of fellowship at Pioneer Park.  We are calling it Hang Out in the Park.  Mark your calendars now to attend.  If you'd like to eat, bring your own picnic and any games (cornhole has been mentioned).  Let's show Winnemucca that the family at Sonoma Baptist Church are a fun bunch to hang out with.  Please use the signup list on the foyer table if you'd like a ride to Pioneer Park.

  • The church leadership is now preparing the Worker's List for 2027.  There are copies of the list in the foyer.  Please take a copy and pray about where God would have you serve your church.  We will be using the same workers' list we've used in the past until the Operations Manual has been completed with the new committees and offices more fully described.  Please ensure you have filled out the Pastor's survey to help this process along.

  • The next Council meeting will be September 20th and will include discussion about the Workers' List for 2027.

  • The deacons plan to meet on Monday, September 21 in Pastor's office at 6:30 pm.

  • This year marks Sonoma Baptist Church’s 20th anniversary.  Please contact Sean or Tina Burke if you have memorabilia or contact information for founding or former members to contribute or would like to assist with planning and/or execution of the event.  The celebration will be October 11th in conjunction with Pastor Appreciation.  Thank you to everyone who attended the planning meeting last wee"k.

  • The next Council meeting will be September 20 immediately following the morning service.
